Shrink Fit Holders

ERI America has been a leader in the field of shrink fit toolholders for over the past decade. We have manufactured all sizes ranging from HSK32E to HSK100A for automotive, aerospace, moldmaking and many other industries for many applications up to 40,000 RPM.

Shrink fit toolholders are suited for rigid, precise and high speed machining. They are precise, rigid and free of moving parts, offering complete concentric gripping and excellent stiffness.

The shrink fit's inside diameter is designed to be smaller than the cutting tool's shank diameter. When the toolholder is heated the inside diameter expands to allow insertion of the cutting tool. As the toolholder cools, it begins to close concentrically on the cutting tool shank creating a near integral assembly. To remove the tool, just reverse the process.

ERI America offers shrink fit toolholders in three different gage lengths in CAT, BT, and HSK Tapers. We also different shrink fit units to meet your different needs and budgets. Our shrink can also be manufactured to include either or both a balancing or lateral coolant port option.
